Anything but a card

This months Lavinia Stamps Challenge was SO up my street and I had a load of fun with it.

First off I had a go at a plant pot.

Then I had the MOST fun with a clock - I was asked to make a video of it - if you want a laugh :)  But below are the stage by stage pictures.  It is so very easy to do and would make a great Christmas present.

New Lavinia Challenge

Hi Everyone

You know when you look at something in the house and think - that's ugly but I need it so it'll have to stay - well I did that with my scrubbing brush :) lovely Eileen thought it might be fun to make a series of them for the challenge - so I did!  I bought them from Tesco and covered them in a chalk based paint, stamped away and glittered and glazed them - great fun. They are all covered in outdoor Modgepodge and so are fully useable, as I have proved with another I made using one of the Lavinia designed stencils from Sweet Poppy designs.

The Lavinia stamps are so versatile you can use them for anything! see what you can do at http://laviniastamps.com/blog/  The theme is "Any colours you like" so a nice and easy one!

Happy Crafting

Chest of drawers

I bought the basics of this at Ali Pali and have just finished decorating it. Quite pleased with the way it has turned out, although I wish I had better flourishes for the top.

Hope you are all fit and well

Pink and Blue

Hi All

Sorry I've not been blogging lately, been through a bit of a crafty drought and not feeling to bright, but hopefully all now on the mend :)

This month's Lavinia Stamps Challenge is something in Pink and/or Blue, I decided to do a set of coasters showing of some of my most favourite stamps, you will have to take my word for it that these twinkle in the light - they do, honestly!  these were such fun to do, the hardest part was choosing just 6 fairy stamps- they are all so yummy!

I rough painted the background with gesso to give it some texture so when I inked them up it gave a lovely uneven texture to it and then off I set with my pro markers - this kept me quiet for ages!!

Looking forward to seeing your crafty entries

I also made this one too using an new edge stamp

Lovely Lemon and Lime Lavinia :)

Hi Ladies

This months challenge from Lavinia stamps is anything using their stamps in Lemon and Lime.  I decided to have a go at a set of coasters.  I kept the plant theme throughout - what you can't see is that the sparkle too! you'll have to take my word for it!

This was really fun to do.  I rough gesso'd the background so that when I put the ink over I got a great (well I liked it!) texture, then it was a question of playtime :)

Hope all is well with everyone
